미국화학회 한국지회는 2013년 말 회원들이 서명을 해서 지회 설립 신청을 하고,
2014 년 3월 19일 미국화학회 Council Meeting에서 승인되었습니다. (C&EN, Mar 24,2014; p 4.). 이어서 4월 15일 Board of Directors 회의에서 최종 승인이 났습니다.

ACS 한국지회 역할
Mission of the S. Korea Chapter
The mission of the Korean chapter is:
- to assist members of ACS in Korea to encourage their professional activities in chemistry in all its branches in connection with ACS;
- to promote research in chemical sciences and industry;
- to promote chemical education and public understanding of chemistry;
- to disseminate chemical knowledge and information to the society;
- by its meetings, networks, discussions, and publications, to promote chemical sciences and technologies and to add happiness of our people.
